| I paint as a means of
expression and sharing. My aim is that my art affirms meaning and joy
in awareness, beauty, and connection.
I enjoy the act of
painting. In my abstract work, I paint to provoke a sense of pleasure
primarily in the artwork itself: the paint, the color, the strokes,
the geometry, the texture, etc. In my representational work I try to
invoke the pleasure of having experienced or perceived a particular
event place or person; what I felt was the spirit of the moment, the
place.
